SUMMARY:European Men's Leadership Summit
DESCRIPTION:The Inaugural European Men’s Leadership Summit will be held on the 20 – 22nd May 2022 in Denmark.\nAfter decades of living in safe spaces\, protected by NATO\, and supporting and often supported by the welfare state\, European’s are waking up to the reality of direct armed conflict. Where do we stand in this situation? Which narrative should we believe? What is our strategy? Things are moving fast\, and the ground is moving under our feet as we speak. \nIf we did one thing well last year at the EMG\, it was to give men an authentic taste of the Warrior. Now the Warrior spirit is rising in Europe. There is a very real possibility of increased violence throughout our continent. Handled badly\, this conflict can escalate and spread. The situation requires wisdom\, introspection\, a deep understanding of history\, skillful diplomacy and decisive action. No matter how bad we think things are right now\, without these things\, it can get far\, far worse. Nuclear War is looming far closer than we realise as we awake from the safety of the post cold war era. \nAll of this is why I am proposing that war be included as part of our discussions at the European Men’s Leadership Summit this May. As we have spoken about\, we will keep the agenda open and semi-structured. But the primary questions we will be asking will be centered around developing shared meaning in the current situation – on a theoretical\, and more importantly on a personal level\, and formulating a path which can weave our actions together as a strong\, well founded band of brothers who are finding the path to restore masculinity. \nThe purpose of the summit is the gathering of a body of men from around the world who are leading the way in creating a new story about masculinity. We are kindling the sparks to set men’s hearts and minds ablaze – in our own work\, at the EMG this year\, and in the global Men’s Movement. \nThe program will be semi-structured and will focus on open discussion and networking\, enjoyment of the peaceful natural surroundings with the budding spring here at HQ and creating a space for a dynamic unfolding of our fellowship. Our shared meals will be the central gathering point for the event. We will hold a few structured discussions and a simple ritual. There will be space for a few optional experimental workshops from participants. And of course Saturday evening will feature our legendary cigar and cognac club evening. \nPractical details:\nThere is space for 17 participants and the event is invite-only. \nThe address is: \nManiphesto HQ \nPilekrogen 14 \n5600 Haastrup \nDenmark \nWe will facilitate ride sharing and help with a pickup from local stations for those using public transport. \nTickets\nTicket prices including full board and lodging\, catered food and all equipment and activities. \nSponsor ticket: 540€ (Support a scholarship and investment in Maniphesto HQ development) \nNormal ticket: 270€ \nScholarship: 100€ \nSignup here \nA limited number of scholarships are available to promising candidates of limited means. \nIf you would like to apply for a scholarship\, then write a motivated application to info@maniphesto.com answering the following questions: What is your current financial and work situation? What do you hope to get from joining the EMLS 2022? What can you contribute to the other participants or to Maniphesto’s members? \nSuccessful applicants will be able to purchase a below cost price ticket of 100€ and will have some additional responsibilities during and after the event. \nSignup on: https://maniphesto.com/register/european-mens-leadership-summit/

SUMMARY:The Journey Towards Death
DESCRIPTION:It is said that your journey towards death starts on the day that you are born. \nDeath is the ultimate reality and wake up call. No one has ever or will ever escape it. We will all have to surrender to it\, and none of us know when it will come to us. \nLiving with awareness of your death is the most powerful tool to focus you on what really matters. Many people relate how experiencing being close to death brings them into contact with reality and leads them to making radical changes in their life\, leading to a far more purposeful and fulfilling life. Despite this\, most men avoid contemplation of death and live a life occupied by distraction through pursuing a string of shiny objects which lead nowhere. \nThis event is an initiation into leadership which will confront you with the reality of your own impending death and guide you in bringing this awareness into your life. We create a space and give you tools to focus your attention towards ensuring that you are living your life right now in a way which takes the reality of death into account. It builds on the learnings of our primary leadership initaition “The Death of the Patriarchs” and enables you as a participant to take a step further into personal responsibility and maturation. \nThe exact program of the event will be kept secret in order to strengthen the element of challenge. You can expect to be taken out of your comfort zone both physically and emotionally. We will deal with the themes of personal purpose and vision\, war and conflict\, as well as internal alignment and coherence. Participants will be guided through a process which will result in a deeper awareness and integration of the reality of death\, a clearer overview of life priorities\, and a powerful attunment to your own internal compass for perrsonal leadership of yourself and others. \nFrom previous sessions of this event\, we have seen that it functions as a “spark” which initiates a process by bringing a deeper perspective for contemplation and new insights to the surface. In order to ensure that these insights are properly integrated\, and not lost in the noise of conflicting life priorities\, we strongly encourage participants to book a series of integration and alignment sessions after the event\, which are available at a discounted rate if purchased before the event. \nSignup here: https://maniphesto.com/plans/the-journey-towards-death-signup/ \nTestimonials from previous participants: \nDr Dietmar Betz: “Most men don’t think about death until it´s too late. Facing death like in this workshop opens up connection to your core and puts you on track to living your life’s mission.” \nHajee Pepping: “The execution of the exercise provoked a sense of urgency that hit me in a good way. Being faced with choices\, thoughts and feelings that I usually push ahead was a humbling\, but necessary experience. It put all other things in life in perspective and I consider it as a start of a new era of contemplation on death AND life. “ \nAxel Cajsius: “Participating was a profound experience that has given me insight into my own death and consequently new personal insights on what is important to me\, here on earth. I recommend this!” \nDetails \nVenue: \nManiphesto HQ \nPilekrogen 14 \n5600 Faaborg \nDenmark \n2 hours travel from Cph Airport.
